Insurance

We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, MassGeneral Brigham Health Plan, and commercial Tufts Health Plans.

We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, MassGeneral Brigham Health Plan, and commercial Tufts Health Plans.

Insurance coverage details depend on the plan type, such as PPO, HMO, or POS. It’s recommended for clients to be proactive in understanding their mental health coverage and to contact the “Behavioral Health” number on their insurance card before the first appointment to inquire about outpatient mental health benefits.

Insurance typically covers mental health services if deemed “medically necessary” and diagnosed, but co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and visit limits may apply, which clients are responsible for. New clients committing to group therapy generally need to participate in a minimum fourteen-week session with billed advance co-payments. Missed sessions and coverage changes are the client’s financial responsibility.

For those without accepted insurance or preferring out-of-network services, The Triumph Center can provide detailed invoices for reimbursement. Paying out-of-pocket offers confidentiality advantages and flexibility in choosing counselors and session frequency.

Patients without insurance can receive a “Good Faith Estimate” outlining expected costs of non-emergency medical services. This estimate should be provided at least one business day before the service, and patients can dispute bills significantly exceeding the estimate. More details about insurance and estimate rights are available at www.cms.gov/nosurprises or by calling (617) 573-1600.
